Man held at Ctg airport with gold bars in rectum

A team of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID) recovered eight gold bars from a passenger coming from Masqat at Shah Amanat International Airport (SAIA) in the port city on Saturday. A team of the Customs Intelligence started surveillance after a flight of Regent Airways landed at the airport. The team challenged passenger Md Mohiuddin when he was about to leave green channel of the airport. In the face of interrogation, he revealed that he had been carrying eight gold bars, which were hidden inside his rectum. — UNB
