The National Citizen Party (NCP), Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) and Bangladesh Samajtantrik Dal (BSD-Marxist) submitted proposals on state reform to the National Consensus Commission (NCC) at its office at Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban in Dhaka on Sunday, reports BSS.

It was disclosed in a press release signed by Paban Chowdhury, Public Relations Officer of NCC.

Led by party's joint convener Sarwar Tushar, a delegation of NCP submitted its reform proposals to the consensus commission.

CPB General Secretary Ruhin Hossain Prince and BSD (Marxist) Central Executive Forum Coordinator Masud Rana led their delegations and submitted their party-proposals on reforms to NCC.

Earlier, a delegation of BNP also submitted its proposals to NCC.

Led by BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed, the party submitted its written opinion on constitutional and electoral reforms to NCC at its office.

The NCC on March 20 held its maiden meeting with the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) as part of the move to reach a national consensus on the recommendations of the reform commissions after holding talks with the stakeholders.

The Commission was formed under the chairmanship of the interim government's Chief Adviser Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, with the aim of building a national consensus.

The commission began its activities on February 15.
