Coal export to NE India begins after six years

BRAHMANBARIA, Dec 04: Bangladeshi businessmen have begun to export coal to Northeast India through Akhaura land port around six years of suspension. Due to the heavy demand for coal in Tripura and adjacent areas, Bangladeshi coal traders have been importing coal from Russia and Indonesia by ships through Ashuganj River Port and then exporting those by the land route. — UNB
