50 more ICUs at DMCH soon for dengue patients
The government has decided to set up 50 new intensive care units (ICUs) at Dhaka Medical College Hospital to cope with the rush of dengue patients. The Directorate General of Health Services took the decision on Tuesday. "The process is underway. We hope the beds will be ready for patients in a day or two," DMCH Director Brig Gen AKM Nasir Uddin said. — UNB
Oil warehouse gutted in fire
GAZIPUR, Aug 06: A coconut oil warehouse was gutted in fire in Tongi of the city on Tuesday morning. The fire originated from a live electric wire at the godown of Marico Bangladesh Ltd around 7.00am. Five firefighting units rushed in and took the fire under control after an hour of frantic efforts. — UNB
