PM to open Biman's 4th Dreamliner on Saturday
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will formally inaugurate the forth brand new Boeing 787-8 aircraft called "Dreamliner" as the 16th plane of Biman, Bangladesh Airlines fleet on Saturday next. The fourth Dreamliner, named Rajhangsha, will arrive in Dhaka from USA's Seattle Boeing Factory on Thursday. — BSS
Three 'robbers' killed in Cumilla 'gunfight'
CUMILLA, Sept 09: Three suspected robbers were killed in a reported gunfight with DB police at Beribadh in Burichang upazila early Monday. The deceased were identified as Babul, 39, son of Joynal Abedin of Debidwar upazila, Ershadul, 26, son of Tajul Islam of Brahmanpara upazila, and Oli Mia, 43, son of Abul Hashem of Burichang upazila. A team of police conducted a drive in the area. Sensing presence of the law enforcers, the robbers opened fire on police, forcing them to fire back in self-defence. — UNB

The Bangladesh Bank has restricted using seals, signatures, dates and writings on fresh and re-issued currency notes. The central bank has also made it mandatory for mentioning the names of banks with signatures of note counters and representatives on the printed blank pages while packing currency notes, said a circular issued by the Bangladesh Bank (BB) on Monday. — FE Report
