Mild quake jolts Chattogram

A mild earthquake shook different parts of Chattogram and its adjoining Bandarban, Rangamati, Khagrachhari and Feni districts on Sunday morning. The tremor, measuring 4.9 magnitude on the Richter scale, was felt around 8:58am, said the Met Office adding that the epicentre of the earthquake was Mijoram border area. However, no damage or casualty was reported by the tremor till filing of the report. — UNB

Bangladeshi dies in Saudi road crash

CUMILLA, Feb 17: A Bangladeshi man died in a road accident in Riyadh of Saudi Arabia early Sunday. The deceased was identified as Dalilur Rahman Dulal, 24, son of Ramij Miah of Dhanuakhola village in Sadar upazila. — UNB
