100 shanties gutted in Ctg market fire

CHATTOGRAM, June 20: At least 100 shanties and eight shops were gutted in a fire at the Chaktai Bhera Market in the Bakolia area of the city on Thursday morning. The fire broke out at 9:30am and spread rapidly. Fifteen firefighting units later extinguished the blaze after two and a half hours of frantic efforts. — UNB
