Cox's Bazar 'gunfight' kills two

COX'S Bazar, July 24: Two suspected drug peddlers, including a Rohingya man, were killed in a reported gunfight with members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in Teknaf upazila early Wednesday. The deceased were identified as Mohammad Kamal, 22, son of Islam of Balukhali camp, and Habibur Rahman, 23, son of Abul Shama of Nayapara in Teknaf upazila. — UNB

15 new train services by 2020

CHATTOGRAM, July 24: Railway Minister Mohammad Nurul Islam Sujan said 15 more new train services will be introduced across the country by 2020. The Railway Minister said over 220 most modern new passenger coach will reach in the country within the current year and five new services will be launched by this year and remaining rail routes will be opened by next year utilizing these new coaches. — BSS
