New service for prisoners to talk to relatives

TANGAIL, Mar 28 (UNB): A new service has been introduced in the Tangail District Jail facilitating prisoners to talk to their relatives on phone. Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan formally inaugurated the programme as a pilot project on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said the service would soon be introduced in other prisons across the country. — UNB

HSC, equivalent exams from April 2

A total of 13, 11,457 students are participating in this year's Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations which will begin across the country on April 2. Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid briefed reporters over the examinations at the secretariat on Wednesday. — UNB
