Minimum Fitra Tk 70

Fitra has been fixed at a minimum of Tk 70 per person this year. Islamic Foundation fixed the amount at a meeting on Wednesday. The maximum rate of Fitra has been set at Tk 2,310 per person this year taking into account the market prices of flour, dates and other essential items. Fitra can be given in cash or kind. — BSS

Biman offers Eid discount on domestic routes

Biman Bangladesh Airlines announced on Wednesday discounted fare on domestic routes centring on Eid-ul-Fitr to give people the opportunity of availing air travel during Eid holidays. The national flag carrier offers a minimum fare of Tk 2000 for one-way from Dhaka to Syedpur from June 19 to 21 and Tk 2000 from Dhaka to Rajshahi, Jashore, and Barishal and Tk 2300 to Chattogram and Sylhet between June 16 to 21, a press release said. —BSS
