‘JMB leader’, ‘drug trader’ die in ‘gunfights’

A suspected leader of banned militant outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh and an alleged drug trader were killed in two reported gunfights in Bogura and Meherpur districts early Tuesday.

In Bogura, Khorshed Alam alias Shamim, 38, former ameer of the banned militant outfit, was killed in a gunfight with police. In Meherpur, Enamul Haque Ena, 42, son of Toaz Ali of Shyampur village, was killed in a gunfight with detectives. — UNB

HC forms committee to test WASA water
