103 more dengue patients in hospitals -

Some 103 more patients were hospitalised with dengue fever in 24 hours till Friday morning across the country, taking the total number of patients to 25,344 so far this year.

Of them, 98 were admitted to the healthcare facilities in Dhaka and remaining five in other parts of the country, according to the daily bulletin of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The DGHS also said three patients were reported in Khulna division and one in each in Mymensingh and Rajshahi divisions.

Currently 665 patients- including 543 in Dhaka and 122 in other regions- are still getting treatment in hospitals.

So far 24,583 dengue patients have been released from the hospitals this year.

The mosquito-borne disease has so far claimed 96 lives including five in November, 22 in October, 23 in September, 34 in August and 12 in July.
