37 pilgrims from BD die during Hajj this yr

At least 37 Bangladeshi pilgrims died while performing Hajj in Saudi Arabia this year (2026).
The Ministry of Religious Affairs in its Hajj bulletin said on Sunday that 24 men and 13 women were among the deceased, with 27 deaths reported in Makkah and 10 in Madinah.
Meanwhile, the Hajj return journey has begun, with 6,175 pilgrims returning to Bangladesh on 15 flights early Sunday (May 31).
The bulletin also said that a total of 26 pilgrims remain hospitalised in Saudi Arabia, while 176 have received treatment.
The return Hajj flights will continue until June 30, as pilgrims started returning home gradually by Biman Bangladesh Airlines, Saudia, and Flynas.
