595 outlaws surrender in Pabna

PABNA, Apr 09 (UNB): A total of 595 members of several outlawed parties along with their arms and ammunition surrendered to Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan here on Tuesday with a hope to return to the normal life.
They turned up at a function at the Shaheed Amin Uddin Stadium in the district town in the afternoon.
During the surrender, the outlawed party men also submitted 68 firearms and 575 country-made weapons.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr Javed Patwary was present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the home minister urged those who are yet to surrender to take the opportunity and return to the normal life.
