66 cos to get export trophy for 2016-17

A total of 66 companies will be awarded the National Export Trophy 2016-17 for their outstanding performance in the export sector, according to the commerce ministry.

"The companies have been selected for the export trophy on the basis of their export performance," a commerce ministry official told the FE.

Gold, silver and bronze trophies will be presented to the business enterprises or establishments, the official said.

Through a gazette notification, the commerce ministry has already announced the names of award-winning companies under 27 categories.

Of the 66 companies, 29 enterprises had been selected for gold trophy, 21 for silver trophy and 16 for bronze trophy for the fiscal year (FY) 2016-17.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will hand over the trophies to these companies.
