99 MPs elected for first time in JS

As many as 99 candidates from different political parties, including Tarique Rahman, have won victory after participating for the first-time in the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) polls held February 12, reports BSS.
In the polls, as many as 10 young leaders of the second generation, successors of senior BNP leaders, have won the 13th general polls getting nomination from the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) with the 'Sheaf of Paddy', according to Election Commission (EC).
The BNP-led by its Chairman Tarique Rahman is going to form the government shortly as the party achieved a landslide victory for the fourth time after a long 20 years.
The party's candidates have won the majority of the 299 seats as BNP-led alliance got 212, Jamaat-led alliance bagged 77 seats
