ACCA holds workshop on financial reporting

ACCA Bangladesh held a daylong workshop on the 'Importance of Financial Reporting' at the Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority (BHTPA) at Janata Tower in the city on Sunday, says a press statement.

Professionals from finance and accounting department of different IT firms took part in the workshop conducted by ACCA member Yusha Al Khondker.

Md Ahsanul Bashar, Head of ACCA Bangladesh, along with his senior colleagues and affiliate partners were also present.

Financial reporting is a vital learning requirement for organisations working with foreign clients. BHTPA, being a hub of outsourcing domain, can benefit immensely from such courses that are being offered by ACCA.

"Understanding the importance of financial dealings and reporting can bring vital difference to company operations," said Hosne Ara Begum, Managing Director of BHTPA, who presided over the event.

The workshop was followed by a question-answer session.

With the fast-growing economy and digitisation of business operations both at home and abroad, many companies in Bangladesh require skilled human resources in the field of finance, accounting and audits.
