Agartala-Dhaka-Kolkata bus service trial run held

Trial run of the much-anticipated Agartala-Dhaka-Kolkata international bus service was held on Saturday, before resumption of the service on a regular basis soon, restoring a crucial road link between Northeast India and Bangladesh and reopening a shorter corridor to Kolkata for travellers from Tripura.

Welcoming the revival, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha described India and Bangladesh as nations bound by an inseparable relationship of friendship and coexistence, stressing that the two countries cannot progress without mutual cooperation, according to Indian outlets.
