Bangladesh secured their fourth consecutive win in the SAFF Women's U-20 Championship beating Bhutan 3-0 at Bashundhara Kings Arena Practice Ground in the city on Thursday, report agencies.
Trishna Rani scored a brace, and the other goal came from Munki Akter.
Maintaining their unbeaten run in the tournament, Bangladesh sits atop the table with 12 points.
Bangladesh defeated Bhutan 4-1 in their first encounter.
The girls will face Sri Lanka again tomorrow (Saturday). The hosts kicked off the tournament by defeating them with a dominant 9-1 victory. Bangladesh took the lead in the 33rd minute. After a Bhutanese defender failed to clear the ball at the top of their own box, Trishna Rani gained possession. She quickly controlled the ball, beat a defender, and found the back of the net with a precise shot.
The lead doubled in the 65th minute. The Bhutanese goalkeeper slipped while attempting a goal kick, but the ball lightly touched her boot and went to a teammate.
