As per the rankings released on Tuesday, Bangladeshis now hold the seventh weakest passport globally.

Earlier, the Bangladeshi travel document rankings were 97th in 2024 and 101st in 2023.

Once unrivalled at number 1 in 2014, the American passport has now slumped to 12th, tied with Malaysia, with visa-free access to only 180 of 227 destinations worldwide.

Similarly, the British passport has slipped to its lowest-ever position on the index, dropping from sixth to eighth.
