BB instructs banks to strengthen security measures

The central bank has instructed all commercial banks to strengthen security measures for their respective bank business, establishments and information and communications technology (ICT) systems during the Eid and weekly holidays.

The five-day Eid and weekly holidays begin today (Tuesday).

Bangladesh Bank issued a circular to this effect on Monday.

To ensure security, banks have been asked to initiate sudden visits to their bank branches and their business establishments with intensified monitoring and supervision on vaults and ICT systems during the Eid-ul-Azha vacation and post-Eid weekly holidays, said the circular.
