Biman resumes Dhaka-Delhi direct flight on May 13

The national flag carrier Bangladesh Biman Airlines will resume Dhaka-Delhi direct flight from May 13 (Monday) after a hiatus of around six years.

State Minister for the Ministry Of Civil Aviation and Tourism Md Mahbub Ali will inaugurate the resumption of Dhaka-Delhi flight at 01:30 pm at at VIP lounge of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) Monday.

The inaugural Dhaka-Delhi flight BG097 will depart from Dhaka at 03:00 pm.

With the resumption of New Delhi-Dhaka flights, Biman would be the sole airline to operate direct

flights between the capital cities of the two countries.

The airline had suspended its services to New Delhi in 2013 after being operational for 33 years since 1980s.

Biman will initially operate three weekly flights on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays deploying a 162-seater Boeing 737-800.
