Biman Bangladesh Airlines will keep hand lock ties in its flights to prevent untoward incidents by unruly passengers, the national flag carrier said on Monday, reports UNB.
"We are doing it for the safety of passengers and the flights," Shakil Meraj, Biman's general manager of public relations, said. "Any passenger, attempting to create chaos, will be instantly neutralised using the hand lock tie," he said.
On January 4, a drunken passenger on a Sylhet-bound flight of Biman misbehaved with other passengers and cabin crew. He was tied down and later handed over to police.
