Tens of thousands of people on Thursday joined processions brought out by the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) in capital Dhaka and other divisional cities in protest against the mass killings, atrocities, and persecution inflicted upon the Palestinians by Israeli occupation forces.
Busting into protests against Israeli barbarity and oppression on the innocent Palestinians in the city of Gaza, demonstrators started gathering in front of the BNP headquarters in Naya Paltan area of the capital much before the scheduled programme.
Carrying placards and Palestine flags in their hands, they also chanted various anti-Israeli slogans.
After holding a big rally there in the afternoon, BNP leaders and activists brought out a massive procession that passed through Shantinagar, Mouchak and Moghbazar and terminated at Bangla Motor.
There was a massive crowd where protesters chanted various slogans expressing hatred for the barbaric attacks launched by the Israeli occupation forces on the Palestinians.
Marching in the procession, BNP leaders and activists shouted slogans such as 'Boycott Israeli products, Muslims of the world
unite and fight', 'Why attack Palestine, the UN wants answers' and so on.
BNP leaders said this programme organised by the Dhaka Metropolitan South and North units of the party has sent a message to the world - Bangladeshi people are with Palestine and against the genocide that has been carried out by Israel.
Protesting against the barbaric attacks and massacres by Israeli forces in Gaza and Rafah in Palestine, they expressed solidarity with the oppressed Palestinians.
At the demonstration, BNP Standing Committee member Mirza Abbas said the protest march has become unusually large compared to any other held recently. Along with the BNP, religious Muslims also joined the rally, he added.
