Body of throat-slit woman recovered in city

Police have recovered throat-slit body of a woman from a rented house in Mirhazirbagh area under the Shyampur police station in the capital.

The victim has been identified as Lucky, 17, who had lived with her husband at the rented house.

She hailed from Ratanpur village under Sadar Thana in Bhola district.

Her husband, Sajeeb, is currently on the run.

Sub-Inspector Md. Shahadat Hossain of Shyampur Police Station said the body was recovered around 4:30 pm on Tuesday (3 March) from a tin-shed house and later sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for autopsy.

Police suspect that Sajeeb killed his wife and fled the spot, leaving the body in the house.
