Body to probe Thakurgaon BGB firing

THAKURGAON, Feb 13 (UNB) : The local administration has formed a seven-member committee to investigate Tuesday's clash between villagers and members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) that left three people dead and several injured.

The probe body, headed by Additional District Magistrate Shilabrata Karmakar, was formed on Tuesday night to investigate the incident, said Deputy Commissioner Dr AKM Kamruzzaman Selim.

The bodies were handed over to families after autopsy and the deputy commissioner handed over Tk 20,000 to each family of the victims.
