City road mishap kills one

A security guard was crushed to death under the wheels of a speedy vehicle in the city's Amtoli area of Mohakhali on Wednesday. The victim was identified as Suvash Chandra Bhoumic, 58, a security guard of Magnet Security Service Ltd of Banani Road-2, reports UNB.

The accident took place when Suvash was about to cross the main road of Amtoli at around 6:30 am. Suddenly, a speedy vehicle ran over him and fled the scene. Suvas died on the spot, SI Hannan said.

The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue. Son of late Mohananda Bhoumic, Suvas hailed from Jagannatdi village under Madhukhali upazila in Faridpur district.
