CJ for allowing journos in court

Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain on Wednesday underscored the need for allowing journalists to be at the courtroom for transparency of the judiciary, reports UNB.

He gave the opinion after inaugurating the office of Law Reporters' Forum (LRF) at the Supreme Court Bar Association Bhaban.

Sharing his experience gathered in a seminar on journalism on court premises in Turkey, the Chief Justice said, "...there was a topic on allowing journalists at courtroom for transparency of the judiciary.”
