Customs arrest C&F agent on multiple allegations

Members of the Customs Intelligence arrested on Tuesday a C&F agent from the city's Kakrail area on multiples charges.

They detained Md Mizanur Rahman Chaklader, proprietor of MR Trade International, for releasing several import consignments through the user ID and password of the ASYCUDA World System and fake documents.

The Customs Intelligence filed cases with Ramna model thana against importer Zarar Enterprise, C&F (clearing and forwarding) agents M/S Chaklader Service and MR Trade International in this connection the same day.

The Customs Intelligence source said more than 100 consignments were released from Chattogram Port allegedly through ASYCUDA user ID and password and using fake documents.
