Death toll rises to 683

Three more people died from measles-like symptoms in the past 24 hours until 8:00am on Monday, raising the total death toll to 683 since mid-March.

Of the total fatalities, 93 were laboratory-confirmed measles cases. Among all confirmed and suspected deaths, 307 were reported in Dhaka, according to the latest bulletin of the Directorate General of Health Services.

During the 24-hour period, health authorities recorded 965 suspected and 160 confirmed measles infections.

With the latest figures, the total number of suspected cases has risen to 93,755.
