DMP beefs up security ahead of Christmas, New Year's Eve

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has tightened security measures across the capital in a bid to ensure that upcoming Christmas is celebrated peacefully and in a festive mode.
DMP Commissioner Sheikh Md Sazzat Ali on Thursday made the remarks at a meeting, which was held at the DMP headquarters ahead of the Christmas and celebration of English New Year.
"The Christian community will observe their religious events at 73 churches in Dhaka metropolitan area.
