The interim government on Sunday fixed the maximum prices of egg, Sonali chickens and broiler chickens at production and wholesale and retail levels.
With the fixation, the prices of Sonali chickens and broiler chickens have been fixed at Tk 269.64, and Tk 179.59 per kg respectively at the retail levels, according to an order issued by the Department of Agricultural Marketing on Sunday
The price of Sonali chicken has been fixed at Tk 260.78 per kg at the production level while Tk 264.57 at wholesale level, said the order.
The price of broiler chicken has been set at Tk 168.91 at the production stage Tk 172.61 at the wholesale level.
The price of egg has been fixed at Tk 11.87 per piece at the retail level. The price has been fixed at Tk 10.58 per piece at the production level and Tk 11.01 at the wholesale level.
