Eight die in bus-Laguna collision in Narsingdi

At least eight people have been killed and 12 others injured in a collision between a bus and a small passenger carrier, locally called 'Laguna', in Narsingdi's Belabo, reports bdnews24.com.

The accident occurred in the Berhikandi area on the Dhaka-Sylhet Highway on Monday evening, Belabo Police Station OC Jabed Mahmud told the news agency.

The road crash happened amidst a rush of homebound Eid-ul-Azha holidaymakers and trucks carrying sacrificial cattle on the highways.
