Eviction drive conducted at metro station

Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) conducted an eviction drive at the ground level of the Mirpur-10 MRT Line-6 metro station in Dhaka.

The drive was conducted from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday in the presence of Executive Magistrates Md Shajahan Ali, Md Jahidul Islam and Nazrul Islam.

The drive was carried out with the participation of DMTCL, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), Fire Service and Civil Defence, Bangladesh Ansar, DESCO, WASA and MRT Police.

During the operation, all illegal encroachments and structures around the station that were creating obstacles to passenger movement and compromising safety were removed.

The authorities warned that similar drives against illegal encroachments would continue in the future. The eviction operation was conducted as part of DMTCL's regular activities, and such drives will continue on a regular basis.

DMTCL expressed gratitude to all the concerned organisations and local residents for their overall cooperation in conducting the operation.
