Tension in the Bangladesh-India relationship -- strained following the fall of Awami League government in a mass upsurge -- is now easing with both sides agreeing to advance towards 'good working relations', says foreign adviser Touhid Hossain.
Bangladesh's ties with India, once dubbed a role model of neighbourliness, became sour after August 5, 2024, the day the Awami League regime headed by Sheikh Hasina was toppled in a student-mass upsurge.
Talking to reporters about his recent meeting with his Indian counterpart, S Jaishankar, he said none could deny that there is a tension in the bilateral ties between the two countries.
