Insult by BCL prompts 52 teachers to resign

TANGAIL, Oct 08 (UNB): A total of 52 university teachers resigned as BCL leaders allegedly humiliated their fellows.

The teachers of Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University (MBSTU) submitted the resignations on Monday.

MBSTU Teachers Association president Dr Muhammad Shahin Uddin said the BCL leaders forced teachers on Sunday morning to allow a Physics Department student sit for an examination though she did not pass in her previous exams.

When the teachers tried to refrain the ruling party backed student organisation's men from using force, the BCL leaders humiliated Physics Department Chairman Dr Anwar Hossain and teacher Mohiuddin Tasnin.
