Interagency panel to probe graft charges against Hasina, family members

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has formed an interagency committee to investigate the allegations of money laundering and other types of corruption against the ousted prime minister, Sheikh Hasina, and her family members.

The committee, comprising ACC, National Board of Revenue (NBR) and Criminal Investigation Department (CID) officials, would investigate the allegations against the former prime minister who fled the country on August 5, 2025.

The panel would submit report to the ACC after completion of its investigation.

In case of crock properties or bank accounts' suspension, the committee would have to inform the special investigation and inquiry division of the ACC.

The eight-member committee includes Md Monirul Alam, deputy director of the ACC, Assistant Directors Afnan Jannat Keya, AKM Mortuza Ali Sagor, SM Rahsidul Hassan, Md Shafiqul Islam, police inspector, CID, Md Iqbal Hossain, deputy police inspector, CID, Syed Mohammad Shoyaeb, tax inspector, e-tax management unit, Ishrat Jahan, revenue officer, Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate.
