Kohli hits ton as India beat Pakistan

DUBAI, Feb 23 (AFP): Virat Kohli hit an unbeaten 100 as India beat Pakistan by six wickets in the ICC Champions Trophy on Sunday to push the title holders to the brink of elimination.

India comfortably reached their target of 242 with 45 balls to spare and moved closer to the semi-finals with two wins. Pakistan have lost both their matches and need other results to go their way if they are to squeeze into the last-four.

Earlier, Saud Shakeel and skipper Mohammad Rizwan hit gritty knocks to help Pakistan to 241 all out against arch-rivals India in a key Champions Trophy clash.

Defending champions Pakistan elected to bat first in the Group A match which is a 'must-win' for them after they lost to New Zealand in the 50-over tournament opener on Wednesday.
