Launch mobile court drives in unauthorised hospitals, clinics

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has instructed the department directors (health) and civil surgeons across the country to conduct mobile court drives in hospitals and clinics which are unauthorised, unregistered and being operated without following any guidelines or providing low quality service in their districts.

DGHS Director (hospitals and clinics) Dr Farid Hossain Miah issued a letter in this regard on Tuesday as per the decision taken at a videoconference held on November 08.

According to the letter, the department directors (health) and civil surgeons have been asked to conduct the mobile court drives and take appropriate action, including sealing off the institutions, within three days.

They were also asked to submit the report on the mobile court drives directly to the director general of DGHS.
