List of 1,401 'July Fighters' released

The Ministry of Liberation War Affairs of the interim government released the list of July Fighters- people who were severely injured during the mass uprising in July, said a spokesman for the Chief Adviser's Office on Friday.

A gazette notification was issued by the interim government in this regard, the spokesman said.

The list was divided into two categories- A and B.

Category A contains the names of 493 people who were very seriously injured while engaging in the protests against the former Awami League regime toppled on August 5, in the face of the uprising.

Category B contains names of 908 seriously injured.

The gazette includes the medical case IDs, parents' names, and permanent addresses of the injured.

Earlier, in January, the liberation war affairs ministry published a gazette of the July-August mass uprising's 834 martyrs from across the country, which was the first final list.

The government will provide financial assistance to the families of those killed and injured in the mass uprising based on these lists.
