Mild tremors strike Sylhet twice in five minutes

Two mild tremors were felt in Sylhet's Beanibazar and Moulvibazar's Barlekha within a span of five minutes on Wednesday midnight, according to Earthquake Monitoring and Research Centre of the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD), reports BSS.

The first tremor occurred at 2:50:31 am, with its epicentre in Beanibazar, Sylhet, measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale.

Another tremor followed five minutes later, at 2:55:14 am, originating from Barlekha in Moulvibazar, with a magnitude of 3.3 on the Richter scale.
