Modi, Shehbaz greet Prof Yunus on Eid-ul-Fitr

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has greeted Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus and the people of Bangladesh on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, the largest religious festival of Muslims, reports BSS.
"As the blessed month of Ramadan comes to a close, I take this moment to extend warm greetings and felicitations to you and the people of Bangladesh on the joyous occasion of the festival of Eid al-Fitr," he wrote in a message sent to Chief Adviser Prof Yunus.
The message was received in Dhaka on Monday.
Modi said over the holy month, 200 million Indians of Islamic faith joined their brothers and sisters across the world in spending pious time in fasting and prayers.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif today called Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus over phone to exchange Eid greetings.
Prime Minister Sharif greeted the people of Bangladesh during the largest Muslim festival, Eid al-Fitr.
