Nine S Alam factories reopen

CHATTOGRAM, Jan 02: The authority of S Alam Group on Thursday reopened its nine factories in Chattogram, which was shut down following a notice issued on December 24 last year.

The factories are S Alam Refined Sugar Industries Limited, S Alam Power Plant Limited, Infinity CR Strips Industries Limited, Chemon Ispat Limited, S Alam Cold Steel Mills Limited, S Alam Cold Rolled Steels Limited-NOF, S Alam Steel Limited and S Alam Bags Limited.

Manager (Administration) of S Alam Group Mohammad Hossain said that the officers and employees of these companies already joined work.

Mohammad Borhan Uddin, head of Human Resources and Administration Department of S Alam group, hed issued the notice of closure. However, the security section, delivery section and emergency section remained open as per the decision of the authority.
