Civil Aviation Authority, Bangladesh (CAAB) has urged the domestic passengers to show valid photo identity card along with copy of electronic ticket while travelling by air.
The CAAB came up with the directive on Tuesday to further intensify overall security of the airports and airlines following Sunday's alleged attempt to hijack the flight of BG-147 of Biman Bangladesh Airlines.
In a press release, it said the passengers will have to enclose valid passport, national ID, smart card, driving licence, student ID or official ID of the respective offices with their tickets.
It also called upon the passengers to comply with the instruction in keeping the photo ID under their possessions during domestic air routes.
Otherwise, the passengers will be denied travel opportunity by air, it said. The CAAB gave necessary instructions to all airlines to follow the security instruction.
Earlier in 2016, the CAAB issued a directive to check photo ID card of the passengers for the airliners. But it was not follow accordingly.
