Criticising the Prime Minister for what she said defending her party activists’ action on the Rajshahi University campus, BNP on Wednesday alleged that Sheikh Hasina is pampering terrorists and instigating them against democratic forces. “The Prime Minister’s remark defending her party cadres has proved that she herself is pampering the terrorists and provoking them against the democratic forces and general students,” said BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Wednesday. Fakhrul came up with the remark while talking to reporters after placing wreaths at party founder Ziaur Rahman’s graveyard along with party standing committee member Rafiqul Islam Miah who got released from jail on Tuesday. Referring to Prime Minister’s remark in Tuesday’s parliament that they will launch a fresh inquiry into the 10-druck arms haul cases to examine whether BNP Chairperson had any link with the incident, the BNP spokesman said her remarks are purely politically motivated. He alleged that Sheikh Hasina made untrue remarks about Khaleda Zia in parliament. “The Prime Minister is making such remarks to divert people’s attention to different direction as people, who boycotted the January 5 election, are questioning the legitimacy of her regime. He also said the Prime Minister’s remark is nothing but part of her various plots to belittle Khaleda Zia, according to a news agency.
