Private university student found dead in city

Police recovered the body of a student of private university in the city on Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Mushfiq Uz Zaman, a student of the Department of Mathematics and Physical Sciences at East West University.

According to the police, university officials spotted the body behind the campus around 3:30pm and immediately informed the police.

Sohel Rana, in-charge of the police outpost near the university, confirmed the recovery of the body. "We have recovered the body of a man from an area behind the East West University campus.

The body has been sent to the morgue for an autopsy," he said.

Rana added that an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the death.
