Probe body submits report over Bhola incident

BHOLA, Oct 26 (UNB): The probe committee formed by the district administration has submitted its report over the clash between police and locals that left four people dead in Borhanuddin upazila.

Probe committee chief and Local Government Division Deputy Director Mamudur Rahman submitted the report to deputy commissioner Mohammd Musud Alam Siddique on Friday night.

Meanwhile, Bhola-2 Constituency MP Ali Azam Mukul handed over cash Tk 0.5 million to the families each four victims  on Saturday.

Four people were killed and more than 200 others injured on October 20 in a clash between police and demonstrating locals who were demanding punishment of a youth in Borhanuddin upazila for allegedly hurting religious sentiments on Facebook.
