Md. A. Sattar Gazi and Md. Al Amin have been elected president and general secretary of Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC) Officers' Association respectively.
On the other hand, Riaz Uddin has been elected organising secretary, and Md. Habibur Rahman as treasurer, says a press release.
On November 1, officers from the finance and administration pool of BADC cast their votes at Krishi Bhaban amid enthusiasm and festivity. Chief Election Commissioner Runa Layla, also General Manager (Finance), announced the election results at 5:00 pm.
Sattar Gazi said, "We'll build a strong association with support of the winners and the defeated candidates In Sha Allah. I'll work rising above personal interests to implement the legitimate demands from the organisation's officers following the proper procedures."
The newly-elected general secretary said, "I'll work for the welfare of BADC together with my colleagues. I seek everyone's cooperation to implement the programmes outlined in our manifesto."
