The Special Branch (SB) of the Bangladesh Police launched a digital file management system on Monday.
The SB is the first among all police units that started adopting the digital filling system.
Md Aminul Islam Khan, senior secretary of public security division of home ministry, inaugurated the system at SB office in Dhaka city.
Additional Inspector General (logistics and asset acquisition) at Police Headquarters Md Majharul Islam and Criminal Investigation Department (CID) additional IGP Md Ali Mian were also present as special guests.
Before launching the system, the chief and special guests and high officials of SB visited Bangabandhu Gallery, operations control room, library, data centre and SB archive.
After launching the filling system, senior secretary Khan directed the SB high officials about the digital filling system.
Earlier, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has directed the authorities concerned to introduce digital-filling system at all government departments and organisations to provide faster services to the people. Following the PM's directives, the SB has introduced the digital filling system.
