'Shukrana Mahfil' at Surawardy Udyan today

A 'Shukrana Mahfil' (thanks- giving rally) will be held today (Sunday) at Suhrawardy Udyan at 9.00 am hailing the government for giving the Dawra-e-Hadith (Taqmil) of Qawmi Madrasas the status of master's degree, reports BSS.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to attend the mahfil as the chief guest.

Al Haiatul Ulaya Lil-Jamiatul Kawmiya Bangladesh, a Qawmi madrasa board, has completed all preparations to make the rally a grand success, Maulana Muhammad Abdul Quddus, mahfil organising committee member, said.

Al Haiatul Ulaya Lil-Jamiatul Kawmiya Bangladesh Chairman Allama Ahmad Shafi will chair the mahfil, said Abdul Quddus, member of Al Haiatul Ulaya Lil-Jamiatul Kawmiya Bangladesh.

Teachers and students of the Qawmi Madrasas have been invited to attend the mahfil to make it a success.
